Gettysburg Re-Cap

Posted by jditomasso on Apr 13 2015 - 9:50pm

18 Scouts enjoyed a gorgeous weekend, learning about the Battle of Gettysburg... from the "new General on the block", (General Meade was commanding the Union Army for only 3 days before the battle) to Pickett's Charge.   Thanks to Mr. Schwarz, whom coordinated the trip, and to Mr. Galiette, whom guided the tour with the expertise of a professional!!  Also thanks to Mr. Kapustka for organizing the food for the adults.

Urban Hike Re-Cap

Posted by jditomasso on Mar 17 2015 - 6:52pm

7 feet of snow in Boston?  Bah!!  1/2" of rain?  Bah!!!!!!   18 Scouts braved the rained, and tested their "preparedness" in a hike throughout Boston, where we climbed the 294 stairs up the Bunker Hill Mounument, saw the historic USS Constitution (Old Ironside), and enjoyed the food at Quincy Market.  A good time was had by all!!
