Bike Inspections for those going on the Block Island Bike Trip.  Not going, get a free bike inspection anyway!! :)  It will be required to have a bike that passed inspection, inorder to go on the trip. In past years we have had too many breakdowns.

Volunteers Needed for Spring Cleanup at South Church

Posted by aarborio on Apr 17 2017 - 9:50pm

South Church is having their annual spring cleanup work day on Saturday, April 29th from 8:30-12:30. I realize many scouts are going to West Point that weekend but it is extremely important that we support South Church with their cleanup. I strongly encourage the scouts who are not going camping to please sign up to volunteer at least part of the time. Adult volunteers are more than welcome too!  South Church offers and provides our troop with many benefits so it's our responsibility to help them out when possible! Thank you! Alison Arborio

South Park Inn Soup Kitchen - April 26th

Posted by aarborio on Apr 17 2017 - 8:29pm

We are still in need of volunteers for the upcoming soup kitchen at South Park Inn! This is a great way for scouts to get hours for advancement or if you need your 8 community service hours for Citizenship in the Community. Serving at South Park Inn is extremely rewarding and fulfilling so even if you do not need the hours I would encourage you to sign up. There are 3 ways to volunteer: shop, cook and/or serve. Please sign up on the troop webpage.

Milestone Commons Condo Association

Their Board is undertaking a project to beautify their property. This project
would include developing a plan to enhance the curb appeal of their entryway
into their two streets as well as the islands along their streets. Due to the
removal of many trees over the last several years their property is very
open and bland. What we are looking for is for a plan to create an
inviting, pleasant entry way and living area for their unit owners. They are
open to any ideas.

They were wondering if this type of project is something that our troop
would be interested in (This is a good opertunity for service hours). They would cover and expenses.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if this is something our
troop would be interested in.
